Our Story

MyCompHQ was created to simplify the complex world of competition and event management. After more than 15 years building administration software for sporting clubs through MyClubMate, founder Marcus Green saw many event organisers facing the same operational challenges — registrations spread across multiple systems, manual scheduling processes, disconnected payment platforms, spreadsheets everywhere, and countless hours spent managing music, scoring and communication.

The inspiration for MyCompHQ came through Marcus’ son David, a dancer, choreographer and teacher who had spent years involved in the dance industry both onstage and behind the scenes.

Through his work with Greenroom Creations, and his involvement at dance competitions across Australia, David had firsthand experience with the operational pressures organisers, teachers and performers face during events.

Together, these experiences highlighted a clear need for a true end-to-end platform designed specifically for dance and performing arts competitions.

MyCompHQ was built to bring registrations, scheduling, payments, music uploads, scoring, video critiques, communications and reporting together into one connected system.

Built in Australia and shaped by direct feedback from real competition organisers, judges, studio owners and event staff, the platform has continued to evolve to meet the unique needs of dance and performing arts events.

Today, MyCompHQ supports events across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, helping organisers reduce administration, improve communication, and deliver professional, well-run competitions for performers and families alike.

Our Philosophy

We believe technology should reduce stress, not create it.

Our goal is to give organisers reliable tools that save time, reduce manual work, minimise mistakes and help events run smoothly — whether it’s a small regional competition or a large multi-day festival.

Because our team maintains close connections with the performing arts industry, many of MyCompHQ’s best features come directly from real-world feedback from organisers, adjudicators, teachers and performers using the platform every day.

Data Security & Privacy

MyCompHQ is an Australian-owned platform and your data remains secure and private.

Each organiser operates within their own dedicated competition website and secure environment, helping ensure event data remains separated and accessible only to authorised users from your organisation.

Organisers can also personalise their competition website with their own banners, logos and colour themes to better reflect their event branding and style.

Role-based permissions help control access for staff, judges, volunteers and studio owners, while regular backups and security measures help protect competition data.

We take reliability, privacy and data protection seriously so organisers can focus on running professional, well-organised events with confidence.
